Senior Web Developer

We are seeking an experienced web developer to join our rapidly-expanding interactive department. Responsibilities for this position will include:

1. Development of new web applications
2. Maintenance of a large body of existing web applications
3. Layout construction for new websites
4. Working with graphic designers, videographers, flash developers, account executives, and clients to meet project requirements

Evolve, Inc. has earned a reputation for leadership in web-development in Eastern North Carolina. This position provides the unique opportunity for the Web Developer to work with many established local and regional companies to enrich their web presence.

The candidate must:

1. Have experience with PHP 5 development, including knowledge of how to write object-oriented code
2. Be able to write SQL and have familiarity with MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL
3. Know how to develop HTML using CSS layouts
4. Have familiarity with JavaScript
5. Be capable of juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
6. Be able to provide examples of past development work

Not required but nice to have:

1. Experience with Actionscript, .Net, or ColdFusion
2. Familiarity with content management systems
3. Past experience working with X-Cart, OsCommerce or other e-commerce systems
4. Knowledge of the UNIX command line
